This 54mm bottomless portafilter was designed to work with the Breville/Sage Barista Express, Barista Pro, Barista Touch, Bambino, Bambino Plus, Infuser and Duo-Temp Pro.

PLEASE NOTE: Channeling and spurting can be very messy, but are EXTREMELY common. This is not a defect of the portafilter itself, but instead is your coffee telling you that there's room for improvement in your preparation process (grind size, tamping, distribution, etc.).

I started my journey into espresso this January with the purchase of a Breville Bambino Plus and Eureka Silenzio. In my quest to make the best espresso humanly possible, despite an entry level machine like the Bambino Plus, I came across Matt and Ashley’s company. This discovery has been an absolute game changer to quality of my espresso shots and overall workflow. The bottomless portafilter will take your extraction process to the next level while looking amazing. Unfortunately, it seems the newer Breville Barista Pro machines have made an adjustment to their portafilter sizing which requires a lot of pushing and shoving in order to get the bottomless portafilter into position. Crema customer service was quick to return my product and mentioned that they will look into the design changes for the Brevilla Barista Pro. I will definitely purchase again once some revisions have been made.

Channeling and spurting are caused by inconsistencies in your coffee preparation, not the bottomless portafilter itself. Pulling shots with a bottomless portafilter now gives you the opportunity to observe and correct these extraction issues, resulting in a more balanced, yummy cup.
