54mm Bottomless Portafilter
142The Game Changer for Perfect Extraction
Bottomless (aka naked) portafilters are an essential tool for identifying and correcting extraction problems that cannot be seen with standard spouted portafilters. Plus, who doesn't love seeing those beautiful tiger stripes?
NEW FEATURE UPDATE: We've modified our bottomless portafilters to now include a 15° tilt to the handle, providing improved grip and ergonomics.
This 54mm bottomless portafilter was designed to work with the Breville/Sage Barista Express, Barista Express Impress, Barista Pro, Barista Touch, Bambino, Bambino Plus, Infuser and Duo-Temp Pro, as well as the and 54mm Solis machines.
See our Product Compatibility Guide for a complete list of product / machine sizing and compatibility.
Double-shot, single wall filter basket included.
PLEASE NOTE: Channeling and spurting can be very messy, but are EXTREMELY common. This is not a defect of the portafilter itself, but instead is your coffee telling you that there's room for improvement in your preparation process (grind size, tamping, distribution, etc.).

Honest Review
So, I am newish to espresso. Filter coffee has always been my jam. I immediately bought the Crema Bottomless portafilter because it was the one I have heard the most about. My first realization is that because the the handle is slanted, you have to learn to hold the handle weird to make it fit into the group head because of that tilt. It’s a pain in the butt and I end up having to hold the portafilter part to have it fall into place in my machine, then use the handle to twist it in. Then because the portafilter and the handle can be unscrewed, when twisting it hard (because of the issue I listed prior) counter clockwise, the handle untwists from the portafilter attached the group head. I reached out to customer service about all of this and they basically just said that I can glue the portafilter to the handle and nothing about the first issue. So they were nice but not really that helpful.
