Does This Cause Channeling and Spurting?
Channeling and spurting are caused by inconsistencies in your coffee preparation, not the bottomless portafilter itself. Pulling shots with a bottomless portafilter now gives you the opportunity to observe and correct these extraction issues, resulting in a more balanced, yummy cup.
