V2 UPDATE -- You spoke, we listened! The minimum depth of our Flair sized tampers have now been modified to work with larger doses, eliminating the need for spacers. All web orders for our 39.25 and 45.5 tampers will be shipped with our updated V2!
Our 45.5mm tamper and distributor combos have been meticulously designed to work in harmony with the coveted Flair Espresso Maker™ portafilters. Our precision fit 45.5mm is specifically sized for the Flair Pro & Pro 2 models.
This convenient dual-purpose distribution/tamping tool allows you to evenly distribute your coffee grounds, and then tamp your grounds with consistent pressure, every time.
Flair™ offers multiple sized portafilters with their Espresso Makers, so regardless of which line-up you're using, we've got you covered.

Flair Classic, Signature & Neo™ -- 39.25mm
Flair Pro & Pro 2™ -- 45.5mm
Here's how to get set up:
STEP 1 - Load your portafilter basket with the desired amount of freshly ground coffee.
STEP 2 - Retract the distributor side to it's shallowest depth, and place the distributor on your portafilter, blade side down.
STEP 3 - Gently spin the distributor until your coffee grounds have been evenly distributed and leveled. If the distributor does not reach the coffee, adjust the depth accordingly. Note: you do not want to be applying heavy pressure to the grounds at this stage -- only enough to level the coffee in the basket.
STEP 4 - Flip the distributor over and extend the tamper (flat side) to its maximum height. Tamp your grounds to your desired pressure.
STEP 5 - For consistent tamping every time, adjust the tamper depth so it matches the depth of the tamp you created in Step 4.

solid and beautiful. Overall, the product is great to use tamp with 18g below dose since i got it for months. I hope to have spacer so we can distribute the dose of up to 20g. i hope they can include a plastic tamper mat to hold this, anyhow i got 1 by reuse a plastic cover from an ice cream cone.
A very good item. It wasn't obtainable in Japan, so it could be bought, and it was very good.
Extremely disappointed, there wasn't enough adjustment on the tamper and distribution ends to work, then after a quick Google search I found out that Crema knows of this issue and is still selling the product

Of the similar items sold for Flair PRO2, I think it's the best balance between quality and performance for the price. Since Tamper and Distributor are integrated, it is easy to use and does not take up much space. Even I, a beginner of espresso, could easily make adjustments. I tried it immediately, but the accuracy of tamping is stable, so very good extraction is possible. For these reasons, I am very happy with this item. If there is one request, Distributor cannot be used when using coffee beans weighing more than 18g. I would like a spacer that can handle even when using coffee beans of 18 g or more.In order to make the best use of the functions of FlairPRO2, please add a spacer by all means.
